This year, our new research project, Hydro Dynamics, dealt with water use.
We decided that we could save water, insofar as it is a precious, essential resource for us all.
We focused on our natural environment, namely our homes.
We found that the amount of water in the world was constant and that the thing that varies is the constant increase in the population.
Water is used primarily in our households.
In order for us all to be able to contribute to the global effort to save water, we have developed a system using ultrasonic flow rate sensors, which can be installed on every possible tap in the home.
We combined a smart home in the water field that is capable of locking the home’s main tap in an unusual incident or warn of any leaks through a mobile application. The application is also designed to give useful tips on how to maintain the home and save water.
Our innovation is reflected by a personalized campaign for each home, based on an analysis of water consumption in that home.
Experts have confirmed to us that this work may result in savings of more than 15% in domestic water use.
We hope that the Ministry of Energy and Water will adopt our idea.
